The next meeting will be the second Thursday of the month, April 12th, at 6:30 at the Irvington Public Library, in the Hilton U. Brown Meeting Room.
We will be discussing ideas for this years book, "Irvington Noir," and look at some noir photographs. We will also go over the print sizes and space for our June show.
Workshop Event
On April 21st, at 1p.m., Spotts Garden Service in Irvington is sponsoring a macro workshop. We will photograph all the bulb plants/flowers and learn some tricks and techniques. Although macro lenses are not provided we do have a few close up kits that may fit your camera lens. You can also buy a cheap close up filter at any camera shop. The workshop is limited to members In good standing but we hope to capture some great shots to hang in Lazy Daze for public viewing during the month of May.
Monthly Assignment
The assignment of the month is to photograph a roadside advertiser. An example can range from a Liberty Tax man to a peddler. It is not limited to humans if you are not comfortable confronting people but be creative! Please bring a print to the next meeting if you wish to participate in the critique. Any size will do but an 8x10 is best for a group critique.
